Her travels through Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Africa, North- and South America, and the polar regions serve as embodied research, in which materials and natural forces directly influence the creative process. After studying fine arts at the University of the Arts Bremen and the Academy of Fine Arts Munich, she worked as a free-lance artist and developed a cross-disciplinary practice encompassing objects, paintings, ready-mades, and installations. At the center of her artistic work is the ongoing series Objects of Essence – condensed, contemplative artworks that embody lived experiences and inner transitions. Casmina works with precious and elemental materials such as gold, platinum, palladium, mineral pigments, earths, and sands to create works of of uncompromising reduction and quiet intensity. Her art is presented in select international contexts and appeal to art collectors and institutions that value depth, presence, and a timeless resonance beyond trends.
