Casmina Magdalen Haas is an internationally active German artist whose practice has evolved over more than three decades, exploring matter, presence, essence, and the elemental forces of nature. Her practice has evolved over more than three decades and has been profoundly shaped by extensive travels across more than 40 countries on six continents.
Her artistic practice is deeply shaped by retreats and journeys – from Antarctica and Mount Everest to the Empty Quarter, the Serengeti, Asian rainforests, and the deserts of Arizona.

These encounters with remote landscapes become a form of embodied research, distilling experiences of silence, vastness, solitude, and evolution.

From this ongoing exploration, Casmina has developed four distinct bodies of work:
Objects of Essence, Objects of Evolution, Objects of Art, and Objects of Matter.
Together, they form an evolving artistic language through which she explores the relationship between the material and immaterial, transformation and permanence, the visible and the unseen.

Working with gold, platinum, palladium, mineral pigments, earth, and sand, Casmina creates artworks of radical reduction and quiet intensity – artworks that do not represent experience, but purify it.
Her art invites presence and contemplation, opening a space in which essence can emerge –
revealing what endures beyond the visible.

What was here before us, what will remain and what carries us as human race.

Casmina Magdalena Haas has been working as a freelance visual artist since 2000,
and is currently based primarily in Istanbul, Abu Dhabi, and Dubai
